We had so many ideas for the design, look and content of the website that, as usual, we didn't manage to finish them all in time. What did we actually want when we started creating the website?

We know that Lake Balaton is so much more than just a holiday destination for the summer months. Its shimmering waters and lively beaches are perhaps its most recognisable trademarks, but Lake Balaton has so much to offer all year round. We can't wait to show you all the hidden gems that make this place so special.

We'd love you to experience the region in a new way. From the vibrant vineyards in autumn to the cosy winter markets, from spring hikes to the cultural festivals in summer, there's something special to offer all year round.

Our team has been exploring the region, and we've discovered some real hidden gems – insider tips that you won't find in any travel guide. Why not venture a little further afield?
